Traditional Roots Healthcare is a Minnesota based, 501c3, non-profit dedicated to heal, strengthen and empower through traditional medicine.
Our vision is to organize sustainable, safe, and culturally diverse healing spaces that incorporate elements of traditional medicine such as, acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary and lifestyle guidance. Especially for underserved communities affected by acute, chronic, secondary and generational trauma.
Our goals include:
Offer services to groups such as: Veterans, American Indians, refugees, and victims of assault and trauma
Stay true to patients’ cultural traditions
Provide support and relief during natural disasters and community suffering
Educate communities with traditional medical techniques to empower them through life’s journey
Traditional Roots Healthcare is an official Essential Community Provider through the Minnesota Department of Health, pursuant to statute 62Q.19 as of April 13th, 2016. MDH Essential Community Provider Letter
Annie treats and advises patients, following Traditional Chinese Medical theories, modalities and simple homemade remedies. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Public Relations.
That summer she and her son moved to St Paul so she could pursue a degree from the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Roseville, MN. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine in January of 2013. She is certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.Through a holistic, nurturing approach and genuine compassion for others, Annie builds continuing, trusting relationships with her patients. Annie’s approachability and mindfulness allow her to inspire and align her patients’ health goals by merging Eastern ethereal theories with Western anatomical systems. Annie believes that inquisition, persistence and a little wit can move mountains.

John has devoted most of his career and efforts in healthcare and entrepreneurship. He has spent the past 32 years in healthcare and started his first business in 1989. From start-up to sale, he has been involved in early-stage development through long-term growth. He was recognized by the Greater ND Chamber of Commerce with its Entrepreneurial Spirit Award and received ND Small Business Person of the Year recognition from the SBA
